             MY SPEECH

Hey guys in my speech i talked about the Christchurch earthquake on the 22 of February 2011 at exactly 12:51pm. I really enjoyed doing my speech although i had butterflies in my tummy and i was REALLY nervous anyway have to go now see you in my next post!!!:)

                       HAKUNA MATATA

Hakuna Matata, means "Don't Worry". Be positive about things that you're really scared about, like maybe a test or something, because they all have an end, and they wont go on for ever, so at the end of the day you forget about those things! So why worry??? Remember peps, HAKUNA MATATA, and you're sure you'll have a blessed day ;)
 

DISCOVERY DAY

Discovery Day

On Friday the 14th of June the whole school had a Discovery Day. There were lots of fun activities that we could choose from we all had to meet in Kotuku first to have a little talk when the teachers finished talking they said we could go and do the activities everybody rushed outside. First me and my friends went to kakapo to take apart a microwave we did it then the bell rang for morning tea after morning tea we went to make some coconut lolls they were really sweet after that we went to face paint me and Carlita were painting peoples faces it was really fun then lunch time came it was really sad because we had to pack up i was really tired at the end of the day i had a sleep. I really want to have Discovery Day again. 

WHAT WE DID AT SCHOOL?

We had to write  about what we are doing at school at the moment.I chose to write about my inquiry that i have been doing lately.We are studying on refugees we had to get into a group of four or you could be buy ourself, i was with Joan ,Malia ,Uheina and me. When we picked our groups miss Martell told us to come up with some questions in our draft books when we finished drafting them we wrote them on a big piece of paper but we had to sort our questions out into short answer questions yes or no questions and open questions then we had to pick some question but if you were in a group you had to pick four questions and if you were buy yourself then you could pick one or two questions then we had to study the questions and then put the answers together and make a video.We did a news report for our video Joan was the anchor Malia was the reporter and me and Uheina were the people who give information about refugees.

GOALS FOR 2013

My goals for 2013 are.....

Writing
My goals for writing is to use more punctuation and write more indepth paragraphs.

Reading
My goals for reading is to go back to the word if I make a mistake and to read more loudly if I am reading to a group and also to have clear words.


Maths
My maths goals is to do my times tables without making a mistake.
